Lance Trover
Lance Trover is a strategic communications and campaign strategist providing counsel to corporate, political and non-profit clients on how to navigate the ever-changing media landscape.
Lance recently served as Spokesperson for North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum’s presidential campaign and has been quoted in the New York Times, Washington Post, Associated Press, and made appearances on ABC News Live, NewsNation, and local television.
Lance rose rapidly through the political ranks in Illinois and Washington, D.C. to forge a career that includes political, government and corporate communications.
Lance served as senior communications counsel to multiple high-profile companies and non-profits. He was also lead communications strategist on several political campaigns including the successful re-election of California Congresswoman Michelle Steel in 2022.
In 2020, Lance provided communications counsel to the successful congressional campaigns of Mike Garcia, Michelle Steel and Lee Zeldin.
Lance perfected his corporate communications skills while working at Tusk Strategies - a firm started by former Michael Bloomberg campaign manager, Bradley Tusk. At Tusk, Lance counseled clients on communications strategy and media relations, as well as advocating for them on various issues in state in federal government.
Prior to Tusk, Lance served in Illinois state government as deputy chief of staff to Governor Bruce Rauner. Lance joined the administration after Rauner’s historic 2014 election win, where he played a key role as the campaign’s senior communications advisor. Lance also served as the communications director for US Senator Mark Kirk, where he executed the media strategy for the Highland Park Republican’s successful return to Congress following a debilitating stroke. In 2012, Lance served as deputy communications director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee in Washington, DC. Lance directed communications and served as a senior advisor on Kirk’s successful 2010 US Senate campaign.
Lance serves as the Republican member of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute Board of Counselors.
